I’ve always been the hoarder-type. I understand being stubborn and saying that I can’t let go of my clothes, but, not letting go of past-memory filled paper that I don’t even pay attention to – that’s when you know it’s a problem. This might be just another lousy loser-girl story, however this is a real situation. Which is why I’m taking the time to tell whoever you are about it.

Since I spend most of my time in my bedroom, I really should take care of it best. I have so much clothes ‘I promise to rock or fit in one day’ and junk that I want to keep ‘for rememberance’. More of weight from the past if you really think about it… I’ve realized how much all this junk is slowing me down and affecting my present life. I would tell myself “I only keep this to remind me how happy I once was”. Being the only happiness I know, I won’t really ever know what kind of happiness it is I want today, right? Sometimes I give up looking for something to wear. Material girl problems.

I cleaned all day, and I feel pretty damn good about it. Sure you can keep things to remember some people and the relationship you’ve had with them, but that won’t make them like you any more.

You’d be surprised how small my room is for a girl looking like me.

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted anything here. To sum it all up, (I don’t know what’s the last thing you’ve heard of me) I’m woking @ a spa/salon, looking for a second job. I’m half way through my esthetics program, taking massotherapy in september. This semester I’m doing make-up and mani/pedi So exciting. MMMMM, I still smoke herb. Cutting down on my cigarettes.. My resolution this year is to simply stay positive, get out of the water.

2011 is the first year I gave my family gifts and I’m sure damn proud of myself, I hoped that time ould come.
Anyways, I added dye to my hair. And I currently cut it, and I regret it with a passion -_- but it’ll grow out… </3 by the summer I hope :s

Rainy day, smoking a cigarette & a guy comes up to me to promote his album. The first thing he asked was if I listened to Hip-Hop. Local artist, got a little free skit, already I knew I couldn’t turn this guy down.

Also known as photographer and verbal strategist, Shams first album Street-Tape is being released in the streets & online. The album was produced and recorded by Beat Licka D.G.E. (Don’t Give Entertainment). Currently he’s working on his next EP which will hopefully be out before 2012.

Montreal-based art initiative EN MASSE is best described as an ongoing exercise. They’re recognised for their improvised collaborative drawing in high and lowbrow culture, pop imagery fragmented in a spontaneous, multi-genre, black-on-white collision.

Since 2009, under the direction of Jason Botkin and Rupert Bottenberg, the project (mistaken as a “collective” of artists) has worked with nearly 80 artists to date. The lifeblood of this initiative is these individuals, whose diverse voices — grounded in the realms of commercial graphics, underground comics, graffiti, and fine art — weave together to build a collective vision, greater than any could create on their own.

Unfortunately their work is often excluded from mainstream galleries, museums, and funding agencies. Likewise, It offers an unthreatening approach to contemporary art that is refreshing, engaging and even exciting to the general public. EN MASSE has created signature works in association with the Osheaga Festival of Arts and Music, Piknic Électronik, Festival International Montréal en Art, Under Pressure, Manifesto (Toronto), Cirque du Soleil, and Sid Lee. Early November 2011 will see an unprecedented installation at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. WOOH!

It is a FACT that, most often, people judge by what they see. Therefore, this aspect of human personality is of outmost importance. The first impression is the most significant one, and is generally quite accurate.

The average person has neither he time nor the inclination to probe for hidden qualities under a slovenly exterior. Physical traits are far more readily appreciated than intellectual and moral ones. There can be no doubt that the right hairdo, make-up and elegant clothing give a better impression. Beauty and its visible manifestations, even if artificial, facilitate communication with people.

Emotional well-being & the material aspects of life are closely interrelated. When we look beautiful, we feel beautiful. A woman who finds her appearance pleasing is uplifted, feels happy and optimistic. Her outer glow reflects her inner warmth. At the opposite end of the spectrum, an unsightly face can cause as much damage as a genuine sickness.

A few corrections on one’s appearance automatically improve morale. Hidden qualities can come to surface. Today, we meet many more people than before. The moderne woman, as opposed to previous generations who rarely ventured unescorted, also participates in a great number of outside activities.

We are constantly exposed to the influence of the media [...] This constant exposure to beauty acts as a tremendous motivation for women to strive to be as beautiful. They try to discard their inferiority complexes, and emphasize the good aspects of their appearance.

This striving for beauty, although deserving of every encouragement, must remain within reason. After all, our aim is not to be a pale imitation of a film star. We want to be ourselves. What the woman wants is inspiration.
