“My music mainly speaks of the frustration of a capitalist system that preys on a youth’s naïve innocence.”
Rainy day, smoking a cigarette & a guy comes up to me to promote his album. The first thing he asked was if I listened to Hip-Hop. Local artist, got a little free skit, already I knew I couldn’t turn this guy down.
Raised in our very own “Real City”, Sham Art’s old-school flow includes a raw underground lyric. Also known as photographer and verbal strategist, Shams first album Street-Tape is being released in the streets & online. The album was produced and recorded by Beat Licka D.G.E. (Don’t Give Entertainment). Currently he’s working on his next EP which will hopefully be out before 2012.
“It’s me against hell yet I don’t believe in heaven, Only time will tell but I’m no better than the rest of them, I keep questioning? Where do I belong? As I roam beyond the hard and the strong!”
–SHAM ART
